“Are We Still Doing OOP? 🤔 Let’s Tackle Anemic Domain Models Together by Michael Koers,” n.d. https://youtu.be/MCv4CjfuuJg?si=Lc8L3kqTs2EdjwXf

Video which my coleague from work shared. I watched it and still think that with immutability you can solve all issues this person mentioned.

“The AI Slop Security Reporting Is Basically Extinct. It Almost Does Not Happen Anymore. At All.,” n.d. https://mastodon.social/@bagder/116407367327224765

Daniel Stenberg shifted his opinion on AI generated security reports 180 degrees.
It was interesting to see how in up to 3 weeks he changed his mind. I think it’s related to recent Anthropic innovations.
Also LLMs are really good at detecting security vulnerabilities. Which kind of makes sense. If you craete model with all good vulnerability reports and dedicate it to one task which is to find security issues in some code, this just has to work good. It’s kind how one of the tasks LLMs actually do good.
They summarize one format into another. Format of vulnerable code into security repport.

“Safety Gate: the EU Rapid Alert System for Dangerous Non-Food Products,” n.d. https://ec.europa.eu/safety-gate-alerts/screen/search

Omg. I was not aware of the EU website where different items which do not fulfill safe requirements of EU laws are placed.
I think the best part is the "toys" filter. So many weird toys from AliExpress. Insane!

“Linus Torvalds Rejects Performance Fix ‘Hack’ & Kconfig ‘Terrible Things’ For Linux 7.1,” n.d. https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linus-Rejects-Linux-7.1

Best rants of Linus XDD
"So people: next time you feel the urge to add a Kconfig option, take a deep breath, and look at that Kconfig file, and go "Maybe I can instead remove this other useless option instead". Let’s improve on the kernel instead of making things worse."

“Microsoft Exec Suggests AI Agents Will Need to Buy Software Licenses, Just like Employees,” n.d. https://www.businessinsider.com/microsoft-executive-suggests-ai-agents-buy-software-licenses-seats-2026-4?op=1.

“France Is Replacing 2.5 Million Windows Desktops with Linux - and I Mapped out Its New Stack,” n.d. https://www.zdnet.com/article/france-leaves-windows-for-linux-desktop/

France is replacing Windows machines with its Ubuntu based alternative. I hope more EU companies go similar path. We trully deserve Linux on our governments machines.
